PFDK hands out fines to Süper Lig clubs
The Professional Football Discipline Committee (PFDK) announced its rulings on last week's Süper Lig fixtures. Fenerbahçe and Trabzonspor were each fined 480,000 TL over fan-related incidents, while Konyaspor, Gaziantep FK, Çaykur Rizespor and Amed Sportif Faaliyetler each received 280,000 TL fines. Some clubs also had electronic tickets blocked for specific stand sections due to offensive chanting. On the playing side, Konyaspor's Enis Bardhi was banned for two official matches for a serious foul on an opposing player. Trabzonspor's Fatih Tekke era ends, new manager search continues
The hot topic in Trabzonspor is still the coaching vacancy. The club officially confirmed its split from Fatih Tekke, who lifted last season's Turkish Cup, with the parting coming by mutual agreement after a run of poor European and league results. Management has stepped up its search for a successor — Abdullah Avcı is among the names being discussed locally — while the club president hinted the next coach could be a foreign appointment, though he stressed no concrete talks have taken place yet. In the interim, former coach Hüseyin Çimşir is expected to prepare the team on a short-term basis. Trabzonspor looks set for a few more matches in transition before a decision is finalised.
Champions League squads confirmed for our representatives
Galatasaray and Fenerbahçe, both preparing for Europe's top club competition, have officially submitted their UEFA Champions League squad lists.
